Table view
Google search said that this is sometimes also called the "data view" but im not sure if that is true.
Overview: The "Table view" is an icon that is on the left hand side of Power BI.
Q: I can add columns, create new measures in "Table view". It seams like "Table view" is similar to "power query". How are they different.
A: there are actually many differences, one of the big ones is that
"data view" = allows you to interact with the data after it has been loaded into the data model.
"Power Query Editor" allows you to interact with the data before it is loaded into the model. for example in Power Query editor you will Connect to, cleanse, transform, and shape the data.
Q: Why do anything in the "Table view". Can't you add columns, and do what you want in the "Power Query Editor" window?
